Yankee Carpenter — Kennesaw, Georgia
Effective: July 1, 2025 · Last reviewed: August 5, 2026

This page explains what information we collect when you call us, fill out a form, or visit this website — and what we do with it.

1. Who We Are

Yankee Carpenter is a licensed general contractor based in Kennesaw, Georgia, serving Cobb County and the surrounding area with carpentry, remodeling, water damage mitigation, and restoration rebuild work. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Yankee Carpenter.

This policy covers www.yankee-carpenter.net and the ways we handle customer and prospective customer information in the course of running the business.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Name, phone number, email address, and service address
  • Details about the work you need — the type of damage, the scope of a remodel, photos you send us, preferred scheduling
  • Insurance carrier and claim number, when you ask us to work an insurance claim
  • Payment information for deposits, draws, and final invoices
  • Anything else you choose to include in a form, text, email, or voicemail

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser and device type, and general location (city or region)
  • Pages visited, time on page, and the site or ad that referred you
  • Cookie and similar identifiers, as described in section 5

Information from others:

We may receive your contact information and a short description of your problem from a plumber, adjuster, property manager, or lead service that refers you to us, and from advertising platforms when you submit a form or request a call through an ad.

3. How We Use It

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule an estimate or an emergency dry-out
  • Perform the work, order materials, and coordinate subcontractors
  • Send estimates, contracts, invoices, and payment receipts
  • Document the job for you and, where applicable, your insurance carrier
  • Keep you updated on your project by call, text, or email
  • Request a review after the work is complete
  • Improve the website, understand which ads work, and measure our marketing
  • Meet legal, licensing, tax, and insurance obligations

4. Calls and Text Messages

When you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call and text you about your estimate, your project, scheduling, and billing. Restoration work often moves fast, so text is frequently how we reach you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used only to communicate with you about your project, and to send occasional service messages if you have opted in to receive them.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help.

Calls to and from our business line may be recorded or monitored for quality and record-keeping. If you would rather not be recorded, tell us at the start of the call and we will take notes instead.

5. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. We use Google Analytics for traffic measurement, which sets its own cookies and processes usage data under Google's policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

6. Advertising

We advertise locally through services such as Google Ads, Google Local Services Ads, and social platforms. These services may set cookies or use pixels on this site to measure ad performance and show our ads to people who have visited before. We do not control the data practices of those platforms; review their privacy policies for details.

You can adjust ad personalization in your Google account settings and in the settings of the social platforms you use.

7. When We Share Information

We share information only when it is needed to do the work or run the business:

  • Subcontractors and crews — the address, scope, and contact details needed to show up and complete their portion of the job
  • Suppliers — delivery address and order details
  • Service providers — the companies that host our site, run our scheduling and estimating software, process payments, and send email
  • Insurance carriers and adjusters — when you have asked us to work your claim
  • Professional advisors — our accountant, attorney, or insurer, as needed
  • Legal — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, our crews, or someone's safety
  • Business transfer — if the business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer with it

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Insurance and Restoration Work

If you ask us to work directly with your insurance carrier, we will share job documentation with your carrier and its adjuster or third-party administrator. That typically includes moisture readings and drying logs, photos, scope of work, line-item estimates, and invoices. Your carrier handles that information under its own privacy practices, not ours.

9. Photos of Your Property

We photograph and document job sites before, during, and after the work. Those photos are part of the job file and, on insurance work, part of the claim documentation.

We may also use job photos and short video in our marketing — on this website, in social posts, and on our YouTube channel. When we do, we do not identify your street address or your name. If you would prefer we not use photos of your property in marketing at all, tell us and we will note it on your file.

10. How Long We Keep It

We keep job files, contracts, invoices, and job documentation for as long as needed to service warranties, resolve disputes, and satisfy tax, licensing, and insurance requirements — generally at least the length of Georgia's applicable statute of limitations for construction work. Inquiries that never became jobs are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access controls on our systems and reputable vendors for payments and file storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as full payment card numbers or a Social Security number by email or text.

12. Your Choices

  • Texts — reply STOP to opt out
  • Email — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Access, correction, or deletion — contact us and we will honor reasonable requests, subject to records we are required to keep
  • Cookies — manage them in your browser settings

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under your state's privacy law. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as that law requires.

13. Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Other Websites

This site links to other places — our Google Business Profile, review sites, our YouTube channel, and vendor pages. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

15. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
